Replace Blind Pick with Teambuilder?
Can we just replace blind pick with team builder? In my mind, thats all Teambuilder really was: A much improved blind pick.

I absolutely agree. Dynamic Queue has so many flaws. If you want to do something off-meta, prepare to get flamed for the rest of the match, especially if you don't do well. At least with Team Builder, if I wanted to play Nasus support, or Karthus top, or ADC Yorick, or some other outlandish lane, I could go into a lobby and the people who accepted knew what they were getting into. They accepted that off-meta role knowing the risks. You could have fun, and do strange things in Normal matches. Now, you try to do something fun instead of just focusing on "this is meta and I'm going to win no matter if it's fun or not", you better be ready to deal with spam-pingers and flamers a plenty. It really sucks.
Me and my fiance play League together, and one of our favorite things to do was go into Teambuilder and do strange duos on botlane (J4 and Katarina, Azir and Anivia, Poppy and Karthus, etc.), and most of the time we were very successful. It was fun, and it felt like we could actually do something strange and unique without facing ridicule just for going against the meta. Now with Dynamic Queue there's pretty much a big "no fun allowed" sign, and plus, if you want to play botlane with someone, you better hope you both get that role, because you absolutely no matter what have to pick two roles per person, and they can't be duplicates aside from one role. I know there have been plenty of times where my fiance and I have wanted to go bot and support together, but because one of us is forced to choose something aside from bot and support, we often wind up in separate lanes, and because there's a time penalty for leaving a lobby, there's a hell of a lot less incentive to leave the lobby to try again. It's just stupid and unfair to the people who want to have fun and do off-meta things. It's not like we're doing this stuff in ranked.
If Riot actually gave a damn about the community, they wouldn't have taken away Teambuilder. They're way too focused on getting people to play ranked. Like seriously. Why is there a banning phase in normals? That was always for ranked. Hint hint, Riot; not everyone plays ranked. Someone wants to play Jax, or Kog'Maw, or another frequently banned champion? Too bad, so sad. Go play bot matches, or custom, or deal with outdated Blind Pick where trolls thrive.
Mind you, I do play ranked. I'm climbing from Bronze on up right now. But never in my three years of playing League did I ever want there to be a banning phase in normals. It's just stupid.
