Yasuo (Formerly Master Yi) mains tend to be a microcosm of the worst elements of the League community; selfish, obsessed with only one element of the game (their damage output), and think every other task that isn't killing very fast is something the supports are supposed to do. I don't know what to point to to explain this phenomenon; Yasuo being a relatively easy to use, resourceless assassin with low cooldowns, a katana user, who knows? It's kind of like how the fedora became associated with neckbeards when it was formerly the hat of choice for Prohibition-era mobsters. It's very difficult to trace a direct line of reasoning, but it's out there somewhere.

So in a word, yes, I was making fun of Yasuo mains. Unless it involves killing champions, that's the support's job!

As my best friend of 10+ years is a Yas main who I've come to hate because his attention whoring, I can agree with this.

I think it's less true of Yasuo mains in particular, and more true of people with a selfish mindset who believe their team is there to aid, read: serve them.

Even in the situation that you become fed as a Yasuo, your status as a super-squishy target means one single mistake can spell immediate death, and then what good are you? The best Yasuo mains can make the best of a teamfight because they bring a 'we' mentality to said fights, while other players bring an 'I' mentality and end up suffering due to selfish behavior.

But here is the thing: those people don't suddenly lose that mentality if they play another champion, and playing Yasuo might just be a symptom of that issue. So don't blame the Yauso mains, blame the people who carry the selfish player mindset who try to abuse Yasuo because they don't want to play a more team-oriented champion and have no desire to learn to play Yasuo with the objective of putting the team first.

I'll reiterate my response from down there. Yasuo mains are a microcosm of the selfish lone wolf mindset. Problem is I can't put a concise word to that, but they all seem to be assassin mains (and namely Yasuo mains), so I go with that as the setup for the joke.
