"I will kite the tower so I can break it faster!"
Who knows, that mean tower might intiate right towards your general direction right?

Twitching around like an unpredictable maniac is normal in this game, especially during laning phases. Why do it 90% of the time when you can do it 100% of the time :^)
This has turned into a discussion about autoattacking.
Issuing a move command does not allow you to get more auto attacks in on a stationary target.
Auto attacks are limited by attack speed.
The original name of this technique is orb walking. The point is that you cancel a bit of the animation so that you can walk just a tiny bit. This is helpful when chasing a fleeing target or kiting someone that you can kill but also can kill you
This is useful for all adcs but is most prominent on
and
It's not about kiting, it's about resetting the auto animation which saves you a fraction of a second. Depends on the champion though. Doesn't work well with lots of the newer ones due to fresher auto animations.
Okay the joke went right over my head. Are you referring to when people move between autos when taking a tower?
Generally, it is better than standing still to hit it.
If nothing else, it makes you slightly less predictable for anyone trying to land a skillshot on you.
Maybe they want to stack up items

There are still reasons to move while hitting the tower...
First and most importantly, do you move while hitting creeps? The whole point of moving isn't always to kite, it can be to dodge unseen incoming projectiles.
Second, you may want to reposition for when you stop hitting the tower. I expect to take this tower then take the next wave, I want to move forward to position farther ahead. Silly to do it all at once when you can do it between your autos.
Third, Gnar wants to move in to melee range if he's about to go Mega from attacking the tower (I felt like I needed a third point).
