Remind me, please...the old forums was declared obsolete and defunct, and then the Boards Beta took over - and still is in Beta, aren't they? And as far as I know, they won't ever get completed.
Maybe that's the joke here. But when it comes to how they do things, I just can't see the humour anymore, as it's long been the default.

Twisted treeline was a beta for about a year as well.
How about let's not take the legacy client out entirely and continue to let people chose what they want to use.
