Well, if you main DJ Sona, then you obviously haven't experienced the completely different experience of playing Pentakill Sona to an adequate degree. Main Pentakill Sona for a month and then we'll talk.

######I kid. Yeah, you're going to need a lot of cooldown reduction and a crapton of ability power if you even want to give your mid lane Sona a chance of getting more than a triple. And support Sona is a no.

I did it with Karthus yesterday (which is what gave me the idea for this post), but it really only happened by a bit of luck. Squishy enemy team, clustered in the jungle, lingered in Defile too long and had escape cut off by my allies. Any of my allies could have nicked them with a stray auto before that last Defile tic finished them. XD

I think a fed Morde could also do it if he got a good angle of approach and ulted their carry quickly.

I guess I was just thinking about how all of pentakill (Karthus, Olaf, Morde, Yorick) other than Sona are in a bad state right now and don't see much play. Other than ARAM I haven't seen those four in months.

But yeah, it's totally possible, and congrats by the way.

Yeah the whole team is definitely hurting. I think Karthus mostly suffers from bad perceived ability though, he can still do well if you play carefully.

karthus has the highest average damage done per game so even though his winrate is lowish considering how many people play him i can see why riot doesn't want to just straight up buff him (been like this for quite a while now)

I think a part of the problem is that his Q has such a delay in an era of super-mobility champions.

Yeah but most champion mobility is on a much longer cool down than Lay Waste. if they blow a 10-15 second cooldown dash to dodge a .5 second cooldown skittle, good. I'll land the next several instead. >:D

Karthus got a huge buff with midseason. He was all right before, and now his itemization is amazing. Can't speak for Olaf, Mordekaiser, or Yorick, but Karthus is doing well. (Sona too, but you already recognized that.)
