You realize that if he does't tax then you can't expect him to help you again, right? Since now he has to go back to the jungle to recover the lost time helping you

Honestly my tax depends on what happened during the gank.

Assuming that neither of you has died or the lane is a tie.

  • If I burn a flash but your lane is pushing then I don't tax. Early on an extra level is more important that a summoner.
  • If I zone the enemy form a big wave then I tax, he is not getting any experience from that wave so any experience you get (even if shared) is more of what he is getting.
  • If I get the kill I leave right after (unless you ask me to shove the lane), I know the smart move is to shove regardless but people on low elo don't grasp that concept so i tend to let them decide when to take their own turret.
  • If you get the kill, then I shove the lane no matter what you want (unless TP is up for the enemy), you are already ahead enough and should be able to hold your own now.

1.) happens if I force the enemy to flash, 2 minions || You get the kill, I get three minions 2.) happens if I get the kill to put you back ahead and reward you.

Honestly, I typically don't tax the lane unless we have killed the opponent or chunked them horribly.

  • If they were killed or forced to base, then I want to deny them experience.
  • If they are low and stuck around, I want to dive them.

If all I have done is force summoner spells, then I don't really feel the need to tax. Forcing Summoner Spells without getting the enemy really low typically means that they used them to escape as you approached, often before you have even engaged or burned resources. I've given my ally a big advantage in lane and I know that I can often return for an easy kill shortly.

However, one very good method to take lane minions is to hold/push waves when your ally is roaming, basing or dead. When doing so, you are often taking gold and experience that they would have missed anyways and you can leave the minion wave in a favourable position for your ally when they return. If both laners are missing (or we killed the enemy laner), I will typically shove the current wave to tower and clear the incoming wave too; this ensures that the wave will reset and it denies the enemy laner a massive amount of gold and experience.

I'm the one that picks jungle Annie with the wrong runes and masteries, gets executed 4 times before lvl 6, then still wins the game because at some point after 30 minutes I landed a 5 man flash tibbers stun.

Theres also a third type, either taxes you for no reason, smites the cannon minion, or feed the enemy buffs repeatedly
