Did they take towers, objectives, etc? Did they take the most damage? If so, then that is the reason.

If it's about damage and completing objectives to get an S

Meme accepted

However, pretty sure it bases your performance against everyone else using that champion in that position.

Played URF top as MonkeyKing and Taric supporting me vs Teemo (with Jax jungle). Taric got me fed and by the end I had 14/4/9 which was the lowest amount of deaths on our team. I got an A+ and Taric got an S-. I feel like he did earn it with his score of 6/5/15, but if I understand how the rank system works, that makes no sense.

Getting A+ never made me feel so shitty before.

I went 14/0/10 on Ashe the other day and got an A+. Next game I went 9/3/7 and got an S....

If you understand how the system works, then you would know that your grade is based on how well you do compared to the other players playing the same champion at the time. If you are playing one of those champions that everyone and their mom mains (yasuo, zed, riven etc) then it becomed much harder for you to get an S due to the much larger amount of players playing that champion. This makes sense because generally speaking the whole "I carried the whole game" mentality comes hand in hand with thechampions listed above.

Seems like every game I play with Cass on urf is an S, I don't even have to play good, once ended up about 3-6-2 with a low amount of cs, low damage, almost no objectives and and turrets, barely placed wards and still got an S-

Alleo5/21/2016, 10:33:52 PM1 votes

Story of my life. And then our 6/10/7 mid lane gets an S.

Dicerson5/21/2016, 10:37:14 PM1 votes

The grading system, as I understand it, is relativity based.

You could be total garbage, but if 90% of everyone else is even WORSE garbage, you get an S

Sammystorm5/21/2016, 11:10:09 PM1 votes

Alot of the ranking system is based off of cs and levels. Not very much weight is put into the k/d/a ratio as far as I can tell.

kaltenashes5/22/2016, 2:59:11 AM1 votes

games where you should get S+ ,but your team loses and its A+... git gud

i read that grades were by role, as zyra support building item 3136 item 3116 and item 2049 and dealing most damage to champs, i got a lot of S and A... i dont understand this system

xxxDogmanxxx5/22/2016, 4:13:34 AM1 votes

Just play champions in weird roles. The game judges what letter grade to give you based on how well you did compared to people who played the same champion on the same role in your region. For example, even if I stomp as XinZhao in the jungle, I'd probably only have an A+ because I'm not the absolute best XinZhao jungler in my region. But if I do moderately well as XinZhao mid lane, I'd probably get an S+ because nobody else plays XinZhao in the mid lane in my region.
