KoKoboto1 votesMordekaiser has high base AD and has great total AD scaling on his Q and E, it also grants the shield for when he gets hit up which helps keeping him in the fight.
Thought I personally think Gunblade is better first because unless you're building tanky after Rylais you won't have much health for the 30% even if you activate it. Gunblade is a GREAT early/mid game item and gives huge burst to a combo with base damage of 250 that's like another ability early/mid game. It also provides that extra slow, grants more AD than Steraks, and the omnivamp is great as well. Also building gunblade later isn't too great because it only has a 30%ap ratio and by then the damage component of the active is less noticeable unless you got a ton of AP.
I recall Malicious Metal made a post about how versatile Mordekaiser is and it's true, you can build a ton of stuff on him and play a wide variety of roles for your team.
But the thing is I don't even build either lol
balbraaksel2 votesWell I'd personally think it'd be best to make the most of his shield by building tank indeed and the only way to make the shield stronger is with armor and magic resist (another way is damage though to get the shield stacked up faster but Sterak's is more a healthbar focused item). He'd also need to be possible to stick to his opponent to hit all of his Q's and he doesn't really need the passive from Hextech Gunblade to sustain his healthbar because of Harvester of Sorrow. So I'd expect Zz'Rot Portal and/or Dead Man's Plate are better options after a Rylais Crystal Scepter.

It's not that uncommon that teams get pretty AD heavy with the AD choices for mid and top, especially on low ranked stuff like that happens frequently, making Mordekaiser a possible very strong pick there.

What Is Smite1 votesEh my morde build is different going for a tanky bruiser who still deals a lot of damage, then again it is a jungle morde build but: 
Built in that order except DMP and Abyssal they can be swapped around if need be
balbraaksel1 votesIs there a viable build path for a Guisoo's Rageblade build on Mordekaiser (I'd expect he'd need AS for it before having this) and what conditions do you need for it to be a good choice? I think that could be a lot of fun to do if the conditions are right. With conditions I mean for example if the enemy team doesn't have much mobility.
