Most players agree that "gg ez" is not sportsmanlike. Check out this recent info from Lyte:

I hate when the opposing team does it winning a 5v4. NO, it was not a Good Game, yes it was easy because we had one less player. Don't need to rub it in. What's sad is that this will in turn encourage other players to do the same because let's face it, toxic behavior breeds toxic behavior.
Best feeling in life is when they say "GG ez" and then you ace their team, destroy their nexus towers, leave their nexus at 1 hit away from death while your super minions groups around it, and just start dancing.
It's even worse when they start telling you to uninstall.
I get angry if MY team does it...like wdf? the win wasn't enough?.
I just wish that if you mute people during a game, they STAY MUTED in the lobby after the game -_-.

If saying "gg ez" is your only offense you will most likely not get banned, but people that do say it get banned faster than people who don't.
If it was a long game where both teams played well and it was very back-and-forth, sometimes I'll say it to be ironically funny, and there are many players who will lol about it. I even say ggez when my team gets stomped, just to have a good attitude about getting shat on as well.
Only situation where it's worse is when the 0/7/1 toplaner you repeatedly outplayed in lane gets carried and says "gg ez".
I mean I guess it was an ez game for them seeing as they won despite being useless.
But I wasn't even in that match!

Riot stated that such behavior is not tolerated. You can report it as negative attitude and write the reason in the description. I always do.
that is my peeve, i hate when people say gg ez and dont even honor us for even trying. You say that when you rofl stomp your lane and just carried the game saying gg ez. if it was that easy go 1v5 then. Like seriously i had times where i stomped my lane so hard or my team does so good that the enemy cant do anything and i play with premades . i just say gg with the rest of them since i wanna commend people on a good game.
it urks me and i dont like the mute button but if you say contantly say "ez", "nice flash" after a death, "gg noob" , or "get gud" more then 3 times. im muting you regardless since your discouraging the player and i dont like that.

The majority of the problem concerning toxicity is that the community is so damn sensitive. I find it funny when the enemy team says "gg ez," especially when it wasn't an easy game for them.
You can get away with stuff like that on Pokémon Showdown because the competitive Pokemon community isn't full of oversensitive wusses. Ironic, isn't it...

It depends on the circumstances. If it was a hard fought game, with both sides having a pretty good chance and the end coming down to the wire, saying 'gg ez' is usually pretty humourous to me, because it's clearly sarcastic. Same when a team loses and says 'gg ez', although that one can be a bit iffy if they've been a bitch all game. They just seem like a poor loser sometimes. It's when it's a complete domination, worse yet a 4v5, and the winning team is the one that says it, that 'ez' pisses me off too. That's why I never (rarely?) use it- how people will take it is very dependent on circumstances and the individual. Also, I rarely see people use the word 'vehement', and I use it all the time so this post made me a little happy inside.
