Sometimes I buy this as first item on Darius because his passive blood is physical damage over 5 seconds, so it will reduce healing longer. Usually against Irelia, Jax( because they drink corrupted potions while trading), and Nasus. It's so good against Nasus cuz he cant heal back while csing under tower, which makes it easy to tower dive.
Executioners calling i sometimes buy it when im playing senna. Im a support main.

If you're buying this item for any reason you've more than likely already lost the game, it's useless outside of a few select champs top lane
Enemy picks something like Mundo or Vlad and it's GG because I'm literally the only one with GW even though I suggest it in chat every five minutes (crickets), even though the team is all AD and could pick up Calling for cheap, but no, they'd rather build their Last Whisper into an extra 10% arpen than make Mundo potentially killable. \o/
Executioner's Calling. People don't buy it because the items it builds into are shit for more then half of the champions.
Oh I know, "totaly useless" unless you are fighting melee fighter relying on healing to lane in which case its called "Incredibly cheap way to fuck over your laning phase"
I feel like a lot of people don't understand when to buy Executioner's Calling.
I see it a lot in Gold, but typically it's bought before they do any damage, which puts them further behind.
Heal champions/self-healing champions don't hit their peak until later in the game.
