Riven really is pretty squishy until late game. I play Rammus, and the only thing that keeps her alive is her poke and peel. When I land my Taunt, get behind her, and Powerball her- she's taking damage pretty quickly compared to other Top lane champs.

As a Top lane champ- Riven is a squishy melee champ. When you compare her to ADCs, mages and utility supports- she's more tanky. But when you get to the Top lane powerhouses- Riven is one of the squishiest. Honestly I think it hits Shen harder than anyone because as a tank he is usually NEEDED to stay in the fight. If Zed deletes just one champ he's done his job.

I mean, let's be completely honest here; Dota abilities aren't as complicated as League abilities.

The most complicated ability in Dota 2 is "This ability either stuns for a long time and does no damage, or does a ton of damage and doesn't stun, based on your stats"

Abilities don't really do more than one thing each.
