I believe you get a notification if they do, I think I read that in the red post.

I'll assume it's to alleviate the public opinion that "Reports don't do anything".

Well ya know if you keep up with the news then you would know that the ban system has been updated and if you report someone and they are punished then you receive a notification.

Well, some guy was RAGING at our team earlier today. He was BMing in all chat and being super toxic. Everyone reported him, and a few minutes later I received a system message telling me something to the effect:

"Thanks to the reports from you and your peers, the Tribunal has punished the reported player according to their actions."

So yes, it's within 15 minutes and it actually works.
