The interpretation of what each stat in League would give you in real life is up to you. You get that stats in whatever way you choose they improve you, and you get the item itself.

I just have to avoid situations where I will die after revival if I can't escape immediately (i.e. fires, suffocation, drowning, being crushed, etc).
It will still provide some additional safety if it's a one-time event without immediate danger afterwards (i.e. getting shot, car accident, falling to my death, etc).
