How does it being a year ago suddenly make it not directly contrary to what they claim to be one of their guiding points in design?

It's literally the champion who's the top pick every single season as a jungler, and the one season he wasn't going to be goin' into worlds, they buffed him specifically to raise his playrate.

How in any way, shape, or form, is a year's worth of time relevant? You think they suddenly had a reformation in the last year or something? I'm really not sure what the point you're trying to make is.
