I'm a huge fan of Legendary and feel like Riot could benefit from a deck building style game with expansions.

You mean a game that's already been done loads of times and doesn't introduce interesting and new mechanics into the world of board games?

A game that requires players to purchase expansions to keep the game fresh?

I am super happy they didn't do that.

not necessarily that, if they make a static board game with a few missions and a few characters there's very few variations that a game could have. me and my wife play legendary and each game is different (heroes, masterminds, schemes) and we can adjust the rules to make it harder or easier. I'm just saying a deckbuilding game with with expansions would be more sustainable and cheaper for consumers than 75$ board and figuring game. most figurine games like D&D and warhammer usually require a lot of investment.

D&D and warhammer usually require more investment because you have to put together the figures and paint them. MvM this is already done for ya.

I understand the concern of replay ability, but most Deck building games after an expansion or two easily hit the same price point of this game. (Dominion base +1 expansion is already there)

All im saying is why skin another game when they can create a truly new experience.

75$ for the amount of materials in the box is super cheap. If quality board game experiences are you and your wife's thing it should be a good investment.
