First: I had no plans on buying this yet. Don't got the cash. Plan on picking it up later. Second: I love math and economics and scalping is not "basic economics" it's considered a scummy business practice done by low lifes. You think people who say buy up event tickets and merch just to sell it at triple or more the price is basic economics? No it's not. It's called SCALPING. The term exists for a freaking reason. People have discouraged scalping as long as it has existed. You justifying scalping, a practice that has recently denied many kids birthday and Christmas gifts, just makes you scummy as well. Is it illegal? No. But just because something is legal doesn't make you any less of a jerk for doing it.
Also that's not basic economics in another sense. Selling something at a WAY higher price when others can get it for the retail price (or possibly less) is bad business. Hiking up price is good business? No. Selling less than your competitors and out beating them in sales is good business. Why do you think places like Wal-Mart have succeeded? Or big bulk stores like Costco? Because of what? LOW PRICES! Better bang for your buck. What back alley did you get your economics class in?
So justify it all you want. I get it's legal and plenty of scumbags make plenty of profit doing this crap. But doesn't change my opinion of it. Oh and yes, I am entitled to my opinion and have my reasons for expressing it. So poo poo to you sir. You sound like the angry one. Not me. :P
(Let me guess, you're a scalper?)
No, I'm not a scalper.
But you still don't have a leg to stand on telling other people what to do with the things they own. If its not illegal, and the only "problem" is you being angry with what other people rightfully do with their possessions, then be angry all you want, scream at the wind. You may not like what they do, but its not your possession, so piss off.
