Your weekly dose of server problem-os, NA League news, and other!

With some expected changes (hello crit changes) and some unexpected (0 cs top laners) and some just plain ole weird (Hide and Seek with Kobe and Phreak), we’ve got a new week and only a few server issues!

**Server Stuff: **

Some players unable to queue for ranked together (1/24 started, 2/6 noticed, 2/11 fixed, ~18 days) A combination of working as intended features and a bug caused players to be unable to queue for ranked properly together, due to a highest rank bug. After a fix and eventual redeploy to the party system, we fixed the bug between intended functionality and not. Those who should be able to play together now are able to!

Game reconnects and player drops due to network changes (2/23, ~43 minutes) An early morning change to networking routes caused a spike in game re-connections and disconnects. After the change was rolled back, the spike disappeared. Said change will be reviewed and the problematic part fixed before being implemented.

**Game Stuff: **

New articles not set correctly (2/11, ~14 minutes) Monday started, and a tired Draaaven felt only two articles were needed on the front page. After correcting him and showing that we can count beyond two axes, we fixed the front page and multiple articles appeared.

Store cards not visible on front page (2/11, ~73 minutes) The tired Draaaven also didn’t think it was worth showing deals to players either, since you only really need one type of axe ever. After a brief triage to see why that was the case, store cards were properly enable on the front page as well.

Player Support Trend:

A slightly higher than normal amount of error messages cropping up! We don’t see a root cause yet, so if you see issues with patching or from the patching screen, take a look here before contacting player support!

UPDATE: For anyone reporting on issues that they are experiencing, please take screen shots or videos of the issue you are experiencing . If you don't have them, that is okay too, report it anyways. Any visual evidence will help us a bunch :)

I understand you are split into team, working on different things, so here is the list of things I m looking forward to (even tho I honestly dont think it will happen).

Client is a mess. Make a reverse engineering, build it from a scratch again. DOTA2 has it flawless, HOTS as well. Please, dont make us suffer like this.

Make classes useful in the way, you created them. -> I mean it like this: Support Janna shouldnt loose in the early game to support Zyra just because Zyra has so much dmg in that lane. Make it, so supports are determined with how much utility they provide to the adc, so people will not just pick full dmg supports.

Remake the champs into their main role, into which they were created to be. Zyra was made as a mid controll mage, make her so she is there again.

Remove spellthiefs edge. Lower dmg, lower healing, remake true dmg on champs. Now you have everyone taking dmg champs, because the dmg is too high. Make it so that people who are good at laning are still gonna be good, but not because they play some bursty champ top lane.

Make tanks feel like tanks again. There is just too many options to counter resists and stacking HP.

Remove CS gold bounties completely.

Increase jungle camp exp, and gold, so that farming jungler are still playable against ganking junglers. Decrease the time for which the scuttle crab provides vision. Make certain champs and their mechanics viable again -> Pheonix udyr is dead because you cannot understand, that R doesnt (adaptive stats) scale with ad, but you will force AD on him.

I think there is more, but this should do it for the next 6 seasons at this rate.

gonna be honest. I've had several bugs within the client that ether me or my friends have experienced. number one: when opening the missions tab when there is a chat underneath the voice chat button will up and disappear. no where to be found number two: being unable to click "accept" because it just...doesn't appear to them. number three: with each update my game gets slower and slower. I end up having to reinstall due to residual files. perhaps a fix can be released? thanks riot! If I'm being honest my life is league at this point and I want to see it succeed more then it already has.

Forever waiting for "Definitely Not 'Definitely Not Dominion.'" Barring that, Ranked ARAM. Barring that, I'm looking forward to pretty much anything for Twisted Treeline or ARAM. There's too much emphasis on Summoner's Rift and not enough love for League's other maps.

Game stuff:

  • buying RP doesn't allow you to purchase items until you switch between tabs in the store

Revert whole jungle patch

Stop rewarding people who spam ganks on bot lane. Make jungle feel like a different role and not a secondary support role

Please for the love of God remove win rate based matchmaking weight. Countless games end up unwinnable just because I crept toward a win rate above 50%.

You can play far above your rank skill wise but it will never change anything, you aren't going to climb as long as this asinine system is in place. Let MMR decide who you are matched with and against. Don't adjust my team's MMR down by a full three divisions just because I'm on a win streak.

I think the new qualifying system is stupid，because I played five times more games than I did last season，and I don't always get the seat I want，I can't score points for playing other seats when a seat is 100 points, but when a seat is 0 points, it will be lost because of a failure of other seats。

So, this is a completely ridiculous request, but I'm hoping y'all are better connected to the backend coding than the support team is (they were nice, but unable to help me). My question is about turret targeting. We know that turrets target based on the closest minion (after choosing based on minion type), but what if two are the same distance? My gut instinct is that it picks clockwise or counterclockwise from some 'zero position', but I'm having difficulty testing it. Despite my best efforts in practice mode, there appears to be no way to guarantee that two minions are equal distance from a turret.

Again, silly request, but y'all are very responsive and possibly connected to the correct department to ask (no idea where in the forums that group would be at besides report a bug and it seems rude to use that forum for this), so i figured it cant hurt.

Do you guys have any plans on increasing LP gains for plat+? I'm currently d4 getting 11lp per win and thought it was a bit unusual, and I've seen people complaining about LP gains as well.

I would love to see more work being done about both the client features as well as the merch store. The merch store feels empty for a multinational video game and brand.

Slightly higher sounds like an understatement for Live Chat to be turned off and for ticket replies to be significantly delayed. You guys should also know why players are writing in so I don't get why you don't know the cause either.
