Break up flash into two summoner spells, offensive and defensive, so it isn't mandatory every game
First off, why change flash?
Because its stifling the opportunity to take other summoner spells and has been for 5 years. It does too much in one slot, and I don't think we have to remove what flash does in order to make its constituent abilities balanced. We just need to break it up so that it doesn't do the workload of 2 summoner spells combined.
One would flash you 400 units away and opposite from the nearest enemy champion. This is the defensive flash ability
The other would require an enemy within 1000ish range to target and would cut the distance between you and that target in half.
