####What is a [Guide Resource]?
I found myself needing to find a bunch of reference material for things like counters, game timelines, wombo-combos, support-carry synergies and anything else that can be useful to teach, but too large a topic to splice into a guide. Hence [Guide Resource]. In this post series, I compile general knowledge topics that may prove useful to be a common reference point, for anyone. I plan to constantly refine and update these posts for use for anyone wanting to teach/learn the game, so feel free to use these resources however you see fit, no credit needed.
#List of Counters (Aatrox-Elise)
Please note that the nature of a counter is make your life easier and the opponent’s life harder, but is nowhere near a certain victory. Do not cry ‘gg’ just because you have been countered, all champions have a chance, simply some better than others. As well, I am assuming normal metas and lanes, I will include junglers and even items if their impact is high enough against a certain champion.
The champions in the Strong or Weak categories are only there as they have at least a notable advantage. Some of these champions that is shown as a picture may be known as a hard counter, specifically a champion that represents most or all of what the described champion is weak to. Some champions simply may not have any either due to meta or the versatility of their kit. These are shown with a '++'.
##Aatrox
#####Jungle, Top
Normally top-lane, sometimes jungle, his best strength is his sustain from his W, anyone who can take that away or overtake his sustain will have an advantage.
Weak Against:
++

Strong Against:

##Ahri
#####Mid
Ahri’s damage is largely locked away in her Charm’s damage amplification. Anyone with enough mobility or combo breaking will have an advantage. Her mobiltiy with her ult will make skillshot and placed AoE hard to hit.
Weak Against:
++

Strong Against:

##Akali
#####Mid, Roaming
Akali has a very very weak pre-6 due to her limited pre-ult range. She survives largely on her energy resource and her stealth. Anyone who can bully her early, match her resource sustain (Energy/resourceless), or remover her stealth will have an advantage.
Weak Against:
++

Strong Against:

##Alistar
#####Support
Alistar relies on enemy displacement heavily, along with a small but spammable heal. His mana sustain is very limited if pressured. Anyone who can bully well, deny his displacement, or simply abuse his long cooldowns (other than his heal) will have an advantage.
Weak Against:
++

Strong Against:

##Amumu
#####Jungle
Amumu is very blue reliant early, as well as strong in close range sustained damage. He is very weak to kiting and enemy mobility. A lot of power is locked away in his ult, so anyone who can counterjungle him well early, steal his blue consistently and deny his ult and damage will have an advantage.
Weak Against:
++

Strong Against:

##Anivia
#####Mid
Anivia has a lot of burst, but all of it is in her E. Her mana sustain is awful and usually must build for mana early, sacrificing early itemized AP. Her E lacks power if her Q is dodged pre-6 and thus if anyone who has blinks, spellshield (and good timing) and/or an aggressive pre-6 will have an advantage.
Weak Against:
++

Strong Against:

##Annie
#####Mid, Support
Annie is very versatile and resilient, but is primarily a burst mage. Anyone who can either mitigate, dodge or otherwise deny her burst will have an advantage.
Weak Against:
++

Strong Against:

##Ashe
#####Marksman(ADC)
Ashe has some of the highest utility for a marksman as well as a very hard to dodge W. Her weakness is her lack of mobility and escapes. Anyone who with instant gap closers and chase will have an advantage.
Weak Against:
++

Strong Against:

##Blitzcrank
#####Support
We all know him, we all hate him. All due to his pull. His silence may have a large AoE silence, and he may have another bit of cc in his E but he’s not terribly tanky without his passive and he can’t deal an amazing amount of damage compared to others. So it all comes down to the pull. His main counter is simply dodging, but champs with high mobility, long range and/or minion piercing abilities will make this easier.
Weak Against:
++

Strong Against:

##Brand
#####Mid
He has amazing range, a great DoT and simply high damage in a lot of ways. However he also does not have any escape in his kit and a single target cc skillshot for anything defensive. Any champs with high mobility, innate tankiness and/or silences will make him crash and burn (hehe).
Weak Against:
++

Strong Against:

##Caitlyn
#####Marksman(ADC)
Caitlyn’s defining trait is her aa range which is the highest base (no steroid) range in the game. Her main damage is locked in her passive. She has a decent escape with her traps and net as well as slightly less decent multi-target damage with her Q. Her main weakness is burst, as her damage is good but not quick. Bursty champions will have an advantage as well as anyone that can meet or beat or her range.
Weak Against:

Strong Against:

##Cassiopeia
#####Mid
Cassiopeia has spammability and sustained damage on her side, so she can push like a fiend as well as zone. She has a decent amount of mana problems however and will not be able to burst well until she gets a decent amount of AP. Anyone who can avoid her poison easily will deny her a lot of damage as well.
Weak Against:

Strong Against:

##Cho’gath
#####Top, Jungle
Cho’gath’s main strength in laning is his passive, because with proper last hitting he will always have health and mana. He is weak to anyone who is not really affected by his silence as well as anyone who can keep him from farming.
Weak Against:

Strong Against:

##Corki
#####Marksman(ADC)
Corki deals a surprising amount of magic damage throughout the game as well as true damage through his passive, making him a great pick against armor heavy teams and champs. He has a stupidly effective escape as well as decent effective range. He is reliant on abilities however, same with mana, so he is weak to silences as well as gap closers.
Weak Against:

Strong Against:

##Darius
#####Top
Darius has an amazing amount of innate damage in his kit, allowing most players to build him incredibly tank while still getting multi-kills (multi-dunks). In laning he has as great amount of harass with his passive and a great amount of power within his effective range. Anyone who can harass him outside of his effective range or out sustain him will have an advantage.
Weak Against:
++

Strong Against:

##Diana
#####Mid, Jungle, Roaming
Diana has a lot going for her, she has the mobility and chase of an assassin while having an AP scaling shield to allow her to stay in the middle of a fight as well as an AoE that interrupts and slows. She isn’t weak to much, but silences will hurt her almost as much as most AP’s as well as anyone that can burst her down before she can jump to squishys.
Weak Against:
Strong Against:

##Dr.Mundo
#####Top
Mundo goes where he pleases….after level 6. His ult is where most of his power is locked, but his E is where most of his damage is, as it can give him 100 AD at rank 5. The counter to him is anyone who can deny his ult’s healing (which will also negate his passive), so literally anyone (anything) with grievous wounds. Without this however, Mundo can simply walk through your team giving less than 2 poros about the damage your throwing.
Weak Against:

Strong Against:

##Draven
#####Marksman(ADC)
Draven has a decent aa range as well as amazing early game damage through his Q’s steroid. As well as a refreshable attack speed/movement speed buff. Between these two skills his damage is highest early where he can ride his kit’s base numbers. Anyone who can outharass him or simply stay even later will have an advantage. The biggest way to hurt a Draven is to deny him kills, as his passive will make them count for a lot more.
Weak Against:

Strong Against:

##Elise
#####Jungle, Mid, Roaming
Elise is very versatile, her biggest strengths are her stun, her brief untargetablity and her %health based Q1 and Q2. She can snowball easily if given kills, and she is very good at killing backlines. Anyone who can peel well or simply kite will have an advantage.
Weak Against:

Strong Against:

We can all agree this area is EXTREMELY subjective. I am fully expecting to have missed multiple things, so please do not hesitate to call me out on gray areas, reasoning, champion choice, formatting, anything at all. I will do my best to make this as clear and concise as possible while retaining as much accuracy as possible. This first entry is mostly a test-run, so if this post doesn't seem useful or just plain unnecessary in your opinion please say so. :)
