So Kayle gets 2 huge nerfs (1.0-0.6 AP ratio on Q and 0.75-0.5 AP ratio on Lich Bane) and yet her win rate hasnt moved from 54% (the highest in the game). Either the right things aren't getting nerfed, or Riot shouldn't have given her "compensatory" buffs.
She really did need compensatory buffs for that huge damage reduction. I'd say her winrate is mainly caused by her ultimate. Now that it has no gating (mana cost is gone), and the cooldown being supremely low for an ability of that nature (90/75/60 seconds) it turned her into a really strong utility sustained damage carry, along with the buffs on her W. She cannot be pushed out of lane post-6. The same thing can go for soraka and to some extent Lulu. Their utility is paramount for teams, and their sustained damage is strong, making them highly valued picks in competitive play. Now that Kayle can't insta-burst someone, she has the opportunity to become more of a utility carry, which are the current "meta" of mid laners at the moment.
