Rageblade gives less Attack Speed than its components...

It builds out of recurve bow which is 25% AS but has 0% base AS, and only gets past the 25% once you have 4 stacks (8%/stack).

It would make more sense to make item 3124 give 25% base attack speed and the stacking to just give 4%/stack instead. It just about evens out at max stats but you arent losing Attack Speed when you upgrade the item anymore

I try to bring attention to this all the time. All they had to do was leave the pickaxe + blasting wand + recurve bow with the same total stats as the rageblade. Instead they reduce the AS and increase the AP and AD... Literally makes absolutely no fucking sense. The weird thing is the gold efficiency is quite similar to what it would have been if they just kept the stats of the components. It was a completely unnecessary change.

You'd need 4%/stack to even out (now it is 6x8 = 48, with the change 25+6x4=49).

But yeah, I agree - Rageblade should be buffed this way.

The only problem there is is that the passive would stack faster.

It's not like its this great purchase anyways

I prefer it to stay that way.

Oh no, it was OP once, NEVER MAKE IT DECENT TIER AGAIN

To be honest, I'd rather see diving fighters get reworked before they touch up Guinsoo's again.

HaloDragonX2 votes

Except diving fighters needs like 3 months to work on, Guinsoo's Changes can take literally a day to think of and add in.

Melledoneus2 votes

Because we all know how taking only a day to fix a problematic item/champion works out.

HaloDragonX1 votes

Not really, sometimes it can include making new abilities, which can take a while to code and make textures for.

Melledoneus1 votes

Exactly. Diving fighters are the main abusers of Guinsoo's when it's viable, so it'd be better to rework those divers first before touching up on Guinsoo's again.

HaloDragonX1 votes

Except the diver fighters didn't abuse it. Jax and Irelia were just two who could use it, then the item made some weaker marksmen viable. Wasn't a bad thing, the problem was devourer, there's a reason Jax top winrate was sub 50 before rageblade nerfs while jungle jax was like at 53.

Melledoneus1 votes

You forgot about Xin Zhao, Master Yi, every jungler using Devourer...

Guinsoo's is in a bad place, but that's what Riot does with problems they can't figure out how to fix.

Unless Kog'Maw

dapositiveviking1 votes

kog maw is a diving fighter, what way are you playing him?

Dengeden1 votes

With Rageblade KogMaw

dapositiveviking1 votes

yeah, like every time i play him i fail at kiting and so i dive in with my passive

Sightless663 votes

That is probably a good thing. The item is pretty bad on everyone except kog and kayle.

Upgrading it gives u its op passives though, the item makes it so that u have to be doing damage for it to be effective. I like it the way it was intended to work. It used to be all anyone ever built so... ya its fine.

Wolfess1 votes

rageblade doesn't need a buff. People complain about it having less atk speed than its components but they keep forgetting to factor in the fact that once u have full stacks you get a whole additional attack every second hit, which multiplies your damage more than what you could get with just atk speed and in fact becomes stronger with more atk speed because the faster you atk, the more procs you will get in a shorter amount of time.

xevi3 votes

It only procs on-hit effects and does not attack with the base AD of a regular attack.

Wow I never noticed this... That does seem really counterintuitive... :-/

item 1027+item 1004=item 3070, yet no mana regen.

No

SlashStriker1 votes

what if rageblade doesn't give stats at all until you stack it

but it will make more sense if rageblade gives 30% attack speed and does not give any attack speed per stack for instance 30% attack speed 25 AD 40 AP upon stacking you get only AP and AD only

item 1027+item 1004=item 3070, yet no mana regen.

No

gives 15% manacost reduction

Rageblade has been stated to be a lategame powerspike item, you get the intended payoff from staying in fights. Giving it base as would make it way too powerful as a rushable first item, which they don't want.

rageblade is powershit item on spike

razorblade and BorK are rushable items too

I hate the nerf. It became an quite useless item unless you are counting champs like Shyvana,Xin,Yi. They should've kept the Rageblade passive which made the item relevant, but nerf the AP and AS it gave.

HaloDragonX1 votes

Just REVERT IT, then use the current build path and price.

VladTheMage1 votes

Yes. They made it due to bronze kids complaining about yi.

World Ender1 votes

This was done intentionally to keep it from being the broken monster that it once was and to make it much more of a niche or situational item than it was before. They explained all of this when they were making the changes; where were you?

HaloDragonX1 votes

The item is so bad right now, it needs a buff, especially for melees.
