A weird Astral Blessing idea I had.

This is an idea that came out of left field (even for me) the other night.

Passive Aura: All allied champs in the area (including soraka) gain X HP/5 seconds and gain 6/7/8/9/10% of Soraka's bonus Armor and MR.

Active: For the next 60/75/90/105/120 seconds Soraka gains vision of the area. She gains one charge every 20 seconds and can hold up to 1/2/3/4/5 charges at once. Allies standing in the area gain 8/10/12/14/16 HP every 5 seconds. This stacks with her passive aura.

So it'd be a passive healing aura that grants bonus defense and an active ward that is an AoE healing aura in the range of vision.

An interest idea. Though I would be worried that Soraka would take Taric's place as Aura support champion. This would also mean that Soraka would build tanky to maximize the use of her aura. Not sure if I like that idea. I think it would be a powerful skill though.

Yeah. I'm not sure if it'd be good on her either, which is why I tossed it out there, maybe it could work, maybe it wouldn't.

A support with a skill that basically lays a defensive "turret" would be interesting at least on some level. Do you place it for vision? Do you place it to heal? Enemies could zone an ally out of it and it'd be a bullseye for aoe skills if put in the middle of a lane.

Maybe on another support's rework... taric like you mention could be one place, or as an idea for a new support next year.

I thought you didn't want her to become a support...

Anyway, this is exactly what Riot wants to avoid: a completely passive unrisky heal that gives Soraka and her ADC an unhealthy sustain. This is lane bullying...

And you should reconsider your numbers. the active is longer than the cooldown.

I don't. I want her to be a utility mage per riot's definition. That said, I'm not sure riot gives a crap about her being a mage anymore and the idea would be interesting to explore for a support, even if not soraka.
