Tryndamere battle fury is now 100% crit at full in exchange for losing a ton of ad

The idea is if his damage is more strongly tied to his fury, you can control it more-- you can debuff his damage by making him consume his fury by damaging him.

Lets say he loses 10 flat attack damage at level 1 and 1 attack damage per level, and his bloodlust now no longer grants 25 flat with up to 35 based on missing health, instead its all based on missing health-- so accessing his damage is riskier.

Furthermore if he overcaps his crit it just starts him with the appropriate fury level so the stat isn't entirely wasted. For example, if he buys 10% crit chance he'd start out with 10 fury and couldn't drop below 10 fury.

Late game Tryndamere loses 28 attack damage in exchange for being able to walk around with about half a fury bar that can't decay, which isn't something he is terribly concerned about anyway since its always full when he pushes. He usually has close enough to 100% crit chance anyway so the fact he now caps his crit chance late game isn't a big deal, he's likely to crit on every auto attack in any trade or skirmish he is in late game even without this change. In other words, a nerf to late game tryndamere.

  • Level 1 Tryndamere loses 11 out of about 75 damage assuming normal longsword start, which is 14% of his damage.
  • Level 2 Tryndamere loses about 16 out of around 83 damage at full health, which is 19% of his damage.

In exchange he gains up to 100% crit chance at full fury, but you can see that in his fury meter and if you manage to force him to consume it you will have an opening in which to abuse his low damage output by slapping the crap out of him. So early game tryndamere is less cheesy and a lot more transparent-- you can see when he's got a lot of damage and play around it, and when he doesn't have damage HE REALLY DOESN'T.

35% crit is random enough that it is difficult for new players to associate the increased damage with the fury bar. 100% crit isn't random at all and the association would be automatic, which would make the counterplay to tryndamere more obvious to new players-- get him to consume that fury then fight him.
