Sick and tired of ranked afks

I understand that there are always going to be afks. There are so many environmental factors to this, such as bad connections, power outages, said player rage quits, and the computer overheating because the heat sink goes bad (a personal one). What I don't understand, is how it is still an issue for the people who don't afk. In regular 5s, it's annoying to have an afk, but in ranked, it is an overwhelming disappointment. Not only is it much, much, much less likely that you will win a 4v5, even if you personally are a little ahead, when the game ends, regardless of how well you played, you still lose LP. That is the most annoying part. Why should the problems of somebody else be foisted onto me? Why do I have to deal with other people's crap? This is the single-most annoying thing to deal with, but unless it is multiple afks on one team, it feels like Riot is just saying, "Sucks to be you." Please help me, and the rest of us who suffer from afks.
