This game needs a slot machine minigame in the client
Which you can put IP into, pull the lever, and win kewl things. Like special ward skins for a year or maybe the jackpot could even be something really substantial like a champion skin.

Gambling stuff like this comes off as exploitive, and with good reason. I don't think they'll go much farther than mystery skins.
I think RP and IP would be a better idea (like buying a chamnpion with either or). Throw in a low amount of RP (maybe 200?) or a high amount of IP (maybe 3150?) and let the slots fly. If each of the three spinners land on the same item, you receive that prize from Quintessences, IP Boosts (Daily and Win Based), XP Boots (if you're below LVL 30 - Daily and Win Based), Ward Skins, Summoner Icons, Rune Pages, Champions, Champion Skins, RP, IP, Free Slot Spins, etc. Each time, the slot would generate different prizes. I really like the idea!
It's a MOBA not a casino facebook game. :/
Or maybe, we could use IP for the Fantasy LCS stuff. Like 50k IP for a gaming house, 8k IP for a team coach, etc.
Then you could award a small amount of RP if you finish top of your league e.g. 500/300/100 for the 8 team ones and less for the 6/4 team versions. Since it'll take weeks to accumulate RP you can't really abuse it.
Well. Riot wants you to buy everything outright. I would love to see a slot machine added, but I seriously highly doubt it.
I think as long as they stick to inconsequential things like ward skins and maybe your choice of skin for the jackpot, throwing IP into a slot machine would be OK. It would definitely not be cool to have people throwing real money (RP) away, but I know people who have 20000+ IP sitting in their account and they don't know what to do with it. This would be a fun way to get bonus items like ward skins.
