riot can you answer some questions regarding runes, barrier, and zhonyas houglass?

i heard this is where you guys migrated to for the approaching winter so im deciding to test the waters. ive made a few posts in GD about a few things i find troubling.

first and foremost. runes... ugh i honestly love the idea of runes, allowing champions to literally be customized for the player, but the problem is runes are really out of reach for new players. i personally have no issue with it now that ive been level 30 and a participant of ranked queue for quite a while now, but the fact that tier one and two runes exist is just... baffling. if i could suggest a fix, could we make it so that there tier one and two runes are removed and tier three runes are made accessible at level 15, maybe even 10?

another thing that has just been angering me is the inclusion of barrier in season 3. may i please get an explanation as to why this was allowed? the amount of power spike it gives for such a short CD is remarkable, almost making it a must on a large group of champions meaning summoner spell diversity is becoming non-existent. adc's now have another get out of jail card at no expense to them. they cant take ignite? they were never meant to get close enough to use ignite as is. idk, maybe im alone on this one but it just doesnt seem right to give the strongest role in this game another advantage

and finally, zhonyas hourglass. recently youve added a change to ultimates such as malphite's and vi's where their ultimate would resume without interruption but if they were cc'd then they would take partial effect after the ability. why isn't zhonyas similar to this where if cc'd or damaged during the affect, they take partial effects? the amount of ap zhonyas gives while being a defensive item is already obsurd so i feel this change will finally give some counter play to this item if not this then can you at least make it so that cooldowns are frozen along with the champ being immune?

this thread will probably get ignored but id really like some feedback regarding these three things because i honestly understand everything you guys try to do but these three have just left me dumbstruck. thank you in advance

any rioter who had any influence on some of these decisions is more than welcome to at least inform me to why these are the way they are. there is no spite in my post, just bewilderment and confusion that i would like you guys to resolve if possible

"Hi there, yami889, great post. :) As someone who has new friends that play this game, Runes are pretty frustrating for me as well. Tier 1 and 2 runes are basically noob traps and trick new players into spending their IP on pretty worthless stats that they'll only want to use for a few levels anyways. I've seen a few good ideas on some things that could be done with runes. Personally I'd like it to be something like every 5 levels they get to chose from a list of basic runes like attack damage/ability power marks, armor/health seals, magic resist/mana regen glyphs and a few different quints. Then new players get appropriate runes without having to pass up certain champs they want. Then once they've hit a certain level they can read a kind of "guide to runes" thing that explains what certain runes do and explains secondary runes, ect. and if they want, they chose to buy more specialized runes with their own IP. I don't have too much to say about the rest of your post other than, I am not sure why barrier was allowed into SR. I don't know many people who like the spell. While I do not mind the stats on Zhonyas, I hate the active, good idea. Have a nice morning/afternoon/evening."

Barrier was added to ARAMs to help melee champions not get poked to death. People liked it so it got added to SR.

Too bad everybody takes barrier and not just melee.
