I main leona, I have LONG before she came into FOTM. Why are people banning her? Just because you don't understand how to counter her mechanics (which is extremely simple if you play her as much as I do) don't let it affect those of us that enjoy her and main her.
CaptainWednesday1 votesIf she falls into experienced hands, Leona can be a very dominant champion for either team. Before these recent nerfs, she could take poke (from champions that are meant to counter her) without really losing much. Her high tank stats and regeneration allowed to take a beating and win trades in lane every time. Her recent nerfs should reduce her ban rate, but she is still sitting around a 55% win rate. I don't blame people for banning her. She is a very powerful pick.
CarbonWyre1 votesSure she is, but she's also extremely counterable. I've seen the mundane (Support Morgana) to stuff strange and creative in order to counter her. It is extremely easy to counter her if you have any clue what you are doing, it just requires micro managing and paying attention. I feel like it's just fear or "I don't want to have to deal with it, so you can just not play at your best."
I'm just sad that people who don't know how to counter/dominate her in lane are making us Leona players not play her.

CaptainWednesday1 votesDon't get me wrong, Morgana is a great support right now with the Frost Queen's Claim changes. Leona is a strong pick right now. No team captain wants to have deal with a Leona. If she gets one kill/assist, she can snowball harder than many supports. You have to adapt to the game rather than getting mad. Its a constant battle between poke supports and tank supports, and you'll need to realize that some players ould just have to deal with Leona, no matter what you say to them. Pick up Thresh, Morgana, or Annie. They are good supports too. Don't get so caught up in one champion you fall apart. That's why we have 115+ of them.
Rhyto1 votesIt's really difficult to actually request Leona not to be banned anymore and while her kit may seem difficult apparently most players can play her well enough and can be very tanky like Thresh in which banning Leona is a viable choice at this time and regardless if people main her you'll have no choice but to main other champions to compensate for those issues. Sorry for that friend.
