Some offensive stats
Active: Your champion leaves behind a flashing translucent untargetable indestructible clone at your current location, which lasts for 3.5 seconds and then disappears. When the clone disappears you will be instantly teleported from your current location to the location of the clone.

Why?
Because right now being melee means you must either build tanky, or build as an assassin, and thats boring. We don't have many fighters that build for dps that can get away with it, except yasuo and tryndamere, and again that is boring.
The biggest reason is generally fighters are vulnerable to disengage. They can use a dash of some kind to close the gap on a target, but any knock back or opposing dash will not only cancel the effort but will leave the fighter in the middle of the enemy team, which is basically a death sentence.
What fighters like that need is some way to trade without going all-in. They need to be able to have an item that will allow them about 3 seconds to fight, and then teleport them to safety. Generally, you can't kill someone in 3 seconds if you are durable enough to last that long, but you CAN push out quite a bit of damage. Its less binary than the current paradigm.
