As an old Karma player

I miss her. They gave her 1 free week and called her non viable. I like the AOE heal and the speed buff/slow that you can blaze on the whole of both teams. I miss the shield and AOE damage. It was hard as anything but it was way more fun then this Karma. (I main support usually)

New Karma thrives best in Mid or Top lane.

I know exactly how you feel. Although I also miss those things about her old kit, what I honestly miss the most was her old Inner Flame passive. It was the only reason why I would welcome harass and throw it back in my opponents face with increased AP.

new karma is lame... her damage output is rather low compaired to other mages and her kit is kinda meh now even with the low cd on mantra. mantra is only viable on q and is a trap to use on the others because it does hardly anything good on the other spells. i miss her extreme kiteability on her old kit and the tether on alies/minions. i guess if they made her w like old karma that would fix the complaints. like just add the ability to use on 1 ally for a move speed buff as long as they stay near her and keep the link unbroken. if the link breaks you get a temporary debuff slow. that way people have a chance to counter her kiteability and people have to stay near karma to get the move speed or else they get slowed for a short duration and get pooped on. i would like for a difficult support to play that is challenging in league and takes skill. janna says shes most dificult according to riot in champions the dificulty meter but shes very easy to play. thresh and blitzcrank pretty easy too. i want a dificult champion that takes positioning and skill to play not some q and they dead champion like thresh or blitzcrank or janna. just my thoughts about karma.

I like the new Karma. She's far more fun to play than the old one.

I miss her.

I'd be interested in seeing some of her mechanics come back (like the AoE heal or the tether, Inner Flame) on other champions that are designed to use them intuitively.

Not so much interested in seeing them come back on Karma.

They gave her 1 free week and called her non viable.

No, they looked at her, saw that she wasn't viable in solo queue Summoner's Rift (albeit viable on other maps), saw that she was strong on teams that knew how to use her kit to the fullest, and that any numerical change to make her viable in solo queue would almost certainly make her broken (or at least put her balance on a razor's edge) in competitive play.

She also had burden of knowledge problems for allies. If you don't know what Karma does, you should not be penalized for playing alongside her.

Those two issues were the main reasons she got a rework over buffs.

I like the AOE heal and the speed buff/slow that you can blaze on the whole of both teams.

No AoE heal, yes AoE shield. Yes AoE speed buff. Yes AoE slow.

I miss the shield and AOE damage. It was hard as anything but it was way more fun then this Karma. (I main support usually)

The thing I've learned about new E2 is that it's guaranteed harass that can also weaken the enemy's ability to trade back at you. It's also like old Q2+W+E2 in teamfights.

Alright, I've been saying this for a while on the old forums, but these are the new forums, so... yeah:

I have been using Karma as a top or mid counterpick and just ruining people. Here's what Karma's new kit has for her:

  1. A long-range, high AoE-damage skillshot that has a ridiculously short cooldown and low mana cost. To add to this, it has a powerful slow thrown in.

  2. A moderate-range, moderate-damage tether snare that allows her to lock someone down for burst or lock someone down to escape.

  3. The best. darn. shield. in the game. Massive base stats, excellent AP ratio, and the best "bonus" effect you can get that allows for both initiation or escapes.

  4. She can use her very low-cooldown Mantra to turn any of these abilities into a fight-winning ability. My particular favorite is waiting until the tank initiates than using Mantra-Defiance to allow the entire team of damage deals to charge straight at the enemy carry with a massive speed boost and a powerful damageshield.

She can top. She can mid. In the right team comps (those with great burst damage) she can also jungle -- and she is an INCREDIBLY difficult jungler to escape from in a gank and has great clear times.

She is a mage with great team support. She scales well. She is both difficult to catch and to escape from.

Old Karma isn't coming back. Let's just accept that and move on, alright?
