Smart casting line dashes on the minimap

When you use a line dash ability with smart cast enabled, your champion will dash in the direction of your cursor.

However, if your cursor is over an element of the HUD or the minimap, the direction of your cursor is treated exactly the same as if if was not over the UI.

For example, if you are playing a champion with a dash and have just recalled, you will generally right-click back on your lane on the minimap to head back there. If you then hit your dash ability while your mouse is still over the minimap, your champion will dash down and right (or left, if your minimap is there), regardless of direction, rather than dashing based on your mouse's position over the minimap.

I'd noticed this occasionally with Riven Renekton, but it's especially noticeable after the changes to Nidalee Pounce.

Do others also find this annoying? Would it be a better if smartcasting abilities over the minimap used the direction on the map instead of the direction on the screen? Or would the potential to accidentally mouse over the minimap and jump in the wrong direction outweigh the potential gain?

Yeah, I really wish the minimap overrode all smartcasting/etc. If I target a spell on the minimap, dash or otherwise, I would really like it to go where I click just like moving does.

It would be hard, when you're caught off guard and dash bottom right of your screen and click on the minimap accidentally dashing towards the enemy instead of away from it. Just my 10 cents.
