Support Soraka, what do you level first now?

Her Q does a lot less damage so you can't really trade with it and since you have an ADC with you, they can't make use of the debuff most of the time.

Her W has a high mana cost, doesn't heal for that much initially, has a high cooldown, and needs you to level Q some.

Her E now has an offensive mana cost and low damage to go with the "gift mana" cost.

You won't be able to afford a chalice until a few minutes in but you can't start dual charms because you need support items and wards. You know, since you are playing a support and can't start double dorans to use farmed minions to replenish your mana.

So from a support perspective, how do you start soraka out right now?

I've maxed w and always take w first, except in rare situations.

In fact I never start q first

Starting W is pretty passive, even for soraka.

Soraka is a passive support. And f they really aren't poking I would max e first. But I never max q. It messes up cs for the adc, and it really doesn't do much damage without building AP.

As an adc main, I really dislike sorakas that spam that star calls. (I've seen too many stars already)

Always heal. Heal should be maxed asap. Starcall is the LAST thing to put points in.

What about her mana costs now? That's 160 mana for not that much heal until you can afford some AP.

No, that's A LOT of healing at max rank (more than halfway fills ur adc's health bar when maxed first) without much ap.

And mana costs are an issue, but generally after sightstone I rush item 3028 , which greatly increases mana regen. But until then, I get this very useful thing that some people forget that it exists known as item 2004

Unless its a hard lane, I always started mana/silence and then got heal second. I also maxed the silence and heal around the same time and left starcall last.

That's pretty much what I did until her infuse started scaling on mana and I rarely buy mana for her. Particularly on support soraka.
