Twitch prime capsule is a let down

Ok so why is it a letdown? Couple reasons, but the biggest one is that all it gives you is a skinshard. Not even OE to craft it. If this was like a free giveaway done on their twitter or something, fine I get it. But it is not. It is a promotion that is supposed to make you want to get twitch prime. Chances are, riot is getting paid by twitch for doing this, or at least getting exposure from this, yet they are still too cheap to at least give us OE alongside the skinshard.

For contrast, Digital extremes just downright gives you weapons and warframes for their twtich prime loot. No bullshit, no grind, they even include upgrades like the cataclyst and reactor for free. It is like you bought the items with platinum.

Kinda, depends on wether you like the skin you get or not. Would honestly have prefered to see a 750 skin, they missed the chance to create Twitch Twitch.

Riot being run by marketers and salespeople? Oh heavens no. Yeah, Riot has been like this for years, don't act surprised that their promotions are the following.

  1. Something you won't use or the least valuable thing in the store (Riot tristana/nightmare chogath free skins from forever ago)
  2. The ability to pay money to pay more money (The premium quests lol)
  3. Microtransactions (everything now)
  4. A sale! So you can...spend money...
  5. Something you already spend money on giving something worthless. (Chests, twitch prime giveaway, Jersey Subs reward)

Riot is run by their marketing team and has been for a while. Just stop playing it like a competitive game and start treating it like a mobile phone game, they are at that point.

lmao i got a skin shard for Aether Wing Kayle, and ive had that skin for like 3 years. It was a really bad promotion.

Look... you can argue that the rewards should be better... fine. Don't act like people are entitled to it.

It basically is the same as giving you a free hextech chest, which is still free stuff. This game didn't even give away free stuff until the last couple of seasons.

Basically the argument is your free stuff wasn't given with additional rewards?

My boyfriend unlocked his skin got god king garren..cool. Realizes its only a shard...FLIPS.HIS.SHIT. Seriously riot? Not one damn skin for free unless if we mentally torture ourselves and remove our toenails? Yeah not happy.

Same with overwatch, they actually give you the skin or whatever it is you earn without having to unlock it

Agree with OP. I got Red Baron Corki which just sucks compared to other legendaries. It would have been much better if you could use say, 1k Essence and a "Twitch Capsule Orb" to "craft" one single legendary or hextech-only skin of your choosing. Now that would have been incredible.

Tagging along to this thread. Just opened my final Twitch Prime Capsule and was given TWO of the same shards in one capsule (Red Baron Corki). Is this a bug or is that normal? I didnt even want the first one 😭

to be fair, DE also offers devolpers panels regularly, a weekly stream where they interact with players through q&a's, callins, and play alongs, and a pretty great community.. they also offer things like community made skins where the artists make money off their sales as well. Let's not even go into how hard the clan system in WF outclasses the club system, in that it inherrently encourages players to contribute, it offers a much larger chat, and helps create social circles. Meanwhile the company behind that game lets you trade premium currency for pretty much anything with other players. If it were lol we'd be able to trade away skins we don't want for RP or other skins, etc etc. And in order to get that currency some dude just buys all the RP somewhere along the line, so riot gets their cake and eats it too.

but riot in contrast just does lootboxes
