It does damage in true damage which ignores all forms of damage mitigation and with its insane numbers it does about the same amount of damage as level 6 ulti post-mitigation as soon as level 3-4, and it also cut 40% of your healing power off just to make sure you would die.
It's just evil.
Probably because it's on a much longer cd than abilities, but more importantly, it applies its damage over time rather than instantly.

As I said before 505 damage at level 18 is just over a quarter of some champion's HP bars. It's too much imo.
Especially considering it completely pushed out Exhaust as an option.

I wouldn't mind them nerfing the base damage of Ignite and move more of its focus to the reduction of healing while under its effects.
Its clear theyre not gonna nerf ignite which i really hope they do but if they wont nerf the damage my personal opinion would be keep it as is it like rito wants but if the user dies then the ignite will stop

as long as supports still take exaust, heal or tp. and adcs take heal or tp. Ignite won't get nerfed.
Why? Because the main reason for the ignite buff was to fight the "EVERYONE IS USING TELEPORT" issue. As long as ignite is not popular in all roles, it won't get nerfed.
I really wish the last tick would fizzle out if you haven't taken damage since the application of Ignite, or that it should only sustain itself while its applicator is in proximity to the target. It's infuriating when you die to the last tick of Ignite when the enemy is two screens away. Conditions like that would give the Summoner Spell nuance to the extent where it is still extremely powerful, but it can't be used as a get-out-of-fail-free card for a botched or sloppy gank/fight.
