Remember when the game didn't have 10000 fucking dashes in it?

But ya know, the game would be so "BOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRIIIIIING" to watch. I legit cannot play anything that doesn't have a god damn dash in their kit anymore because of all this bullshit flying around. I don't like playing flashy shit, so stop forcing me to.

It's not even the "game" many champions are fine to play against. But Riot keeps pushing the ridiculous design to the meta like Irelia, Akali, Camille.

People always come with the argument "but but their damage output is weaker than those imobile champs". Which is laughtable and mostly is also wrong. High mobility champs like Zed can dash out damage like crazy, especially AOE. They have no drawbacks. I don´t see Karthus doing 1.000 damage with 1 Q to someone with 2 items.... like Zed does.....

you'd complain about the immobile champions just as much if they were meta and beating you

Karthus has basically zero mobility. So does Caitlyn. The older the champ, arguably the more simple and balanced the kit.

You don't have to play things with a dash. My fave champs to play don't have one.

What bothers me most nowadays is that Riot has to give all their newer mages, a class that traditionally trades mobility for utility, some form of dash so that people will play them.

I don't actually remember that. Shaco, Jax, and Kassadin were all pretty early champs. Akali was designed pretty early on too, same with Leblanc.

Yeah, remember that time when ranged champs dominated at all times and melee champs needed the ability to physically block all autos via dodge or invulnerability just to play the game?

"I can't enjoy high mobility champions because my reaction speed sucks, so neither should anyone else."

I don't necessarily have a problem with dashes as a whole, (though I do love the big, immobile meat-wall type of character the majority of times in any game I play) but I DO have a problem with dashes/hyper mobility with little to no trade-off.

Shaco is a good example of mobility with a trade-off, or is meant to be, anyway, when the current damage climate isn't allowing him to 1 shot you from full hp. He is an opportunistic assassin who requires setup. When I picture Shaco killing someone, i envision that ADC who survived a close scrap with 30% hp getting gibbed while backing in a bush because they didn't respect the clown. The other scenario I see is the enemy jungle chasing the low hp Shaco into his own jungle, but doesn't realize he's being baited into swarms of boxes, and ultimately gets tricked and whittled down until he can be finished off safely.

Now picture LeBlanc. How does she kill someone? Q>R>W dead. All in an instant. No setup, just be in range and have your cooldowns. What is her trade-off? Low hp? That's countered by an auto stealth baked into her kit, and has no skill requirement.

Pure mobility itself isn't the issue. Mobility with no trade-offs, or simply the semblance of trade-offs, is. It makes playing a mobility character, or someone who enhances that character (Malph/Ali with Yas) a requirement to win.
