Top has renekton chogath poppy and darius jung has rammus j4 amumu hecarim mid has annie malzahar and swain adc has kogmaw and vayne support has alistar, who isnt even played that often. thats the only choice we have if we want a really exclusive skin for the support role, not thresh or leona or morgana, supports who actually get played a lot. alistar only has a 3% play rate, one out of 30ish games.
You list playrate, but currently Swain's most played role is support, and Annie + Poppy both have at least 10% of their playrate as support. It'd be nice to have another 'pure' support, sure, but for champions played in the support role they have about the same representation as the other roles.
I mean, Dawnbringer Karma is going to be added to the gemstone shop at some point
But yeah, we need more mythic skins for supports

Gemstone skins are generally for older champions. Some of which aren't as popular as they once were lately like Alistar.
Thresh just got a Prestige skin, so I don't see him getting a gemstone anytime soon.
I'd love one for Morgana, maybe 2020 will bring something.
