How do you beat Akali in top lane?

Akali is a champion I simply have no way to beat. I am a Shen main, but i've tried practically every single top laner into Akali and no matter what, she always wins. And I don't just mean she wins lane with kills, she always gets first tower, she out farms me by loads, and no champ I have played can win a trade against her pre-6. As a result, I have to permanantly ban Akali so I will never learn how to beat her.

Her kit just seems so strong. She has basically no cooldowns, her energy recharges faster than any other energy base champ, she cna go invisible, her main item build gives her magic and physical damage plus healing. She seems to have an answer for everthing.

I'm just looking for some tops, guides, advice, anything really. Because I have absolutely no idea how to even survive against this champion let alone stand a chance at actually winning the lane.

when she goes on you and shrouds go to the side of it that streamlines her attack pattern and you can guarantee skill shots

if you are an auto attacker use A click your champion will always connect an auto attack before she restealths to make it extra hard on her stay melee range to her as much as you can so she would have to take extra long to proc her passive

you pick something off meta for top lane to beat her. so me, the sicko in the room, who gets off on playing kata, ekko, qiyana and talon in top lane, i welcome the matchup, it's certainly easier than the juggs which serve as weighted training for when i decide to play mid lane again.

Don't worry Riot has solved this problem for you. Now I won't be able to play Akali anymore because she is getting gutted. She isn't going to be a champion next patch.
