So Evelynn = not oversexualized. But Kaisa = definitely oversexualized.

Yeah. Ok.

Ok, so first, I don't agree with the idea that Kai'sa is sexualized.

But in fairness, people don't have a problem with sexualization as a concept, but rather when it's used seemingly at random.

Evelyn, a champion who is basically a sex demon, makes sense to be alluring and sexual. For the people that complain that Kai'sa is sexualized, they feel that she shouldn't really have any kind of thing like that.

Honestly, some of the champs are a bit overly sexualized considering this game's rating. Kai'sa is hardly the ONLY or the MOST overly sexualized... a bit of cleavage, and a skin-tight suit, but that's it. And if they are going to do this for female champs, they need to do it for males too. Looking at stuff like some of those taric skins, rogue admiral garen, kayn, etc. If people are gonna complain about the one, they need to address them all. Otherwise that's sexist.

They can hit a few of the extremes without making them un-sexy. Just make them so it's not what most would consider over-the-top. There will always be outliers who argue not sexy enough or too sexy. Just avoid excessive exposure and potentially demeaning/provocative poses for characters. They gotta be careful not to go too far the other direction or the champs and skins will lose much of their character - which is the whole reason people bought them for.

I think battle bunny riven is in a good spot right now for instance. Whereas secret agent miss fortune or candy cane mf strike a slightly too provocative/demeaning pose. The skin is great, but the splash art... maybe goes a bit far at least if they are changing kai'sa's skin cuz of the reasons I suggest.

I think this largely is due to the game's rating with some pretty young people being allowed to play the game (not 18+ or anything like that). If this were changed, I think there would be less of a concern over sexualization.

I think this is Riot's way of distracting everyone from how bad this last patch is. Literally, just remove the TOWERS from the game. They serve no purpose. They can't do damage. They can't hold up from a 3 man siege. They don't protect the champion because riot hired downsyndromecrawler. Just get rid of them and give everyone the ability to one shot anyone else. Let's just skip ahead to your ultimate goal. No need to hide that you turned SR into URF-lite.

As much as I'm annoyed with the latest trend of "oversexualization vs not so," Riot DID say that they were trying not to sexualize characters without GOOD REASON. Meaning, if it ties into their personality, it's okay.

Evelynn is a succubus. One who draws her victims in with the promise of sex and then murders them horribly. Ahri is another case of this. She's a kitsune, which are thematically flirts.

Kai'Sa didn't really have a sexual theme to her. Don't get me wrong. I wasn't really bothered by her appearance. I thought the suit was fine as is. But Riot has their bases covered on this one. They made their intent very clear here.

If you consider Riot's standards, Kaisa is nowhere near oversexualized and never was. No one came out with ZOMG like they did with Evelyn and Riot gave a BIG MIDDLE FINGER TO THOSE PEOPLE. I was one of them.

I think she's a completely slutty, shallow design...even for a 'succubus' which I have no problems with being in the game...but her original character design (not kit) was much better despite the old skool splash.

Now, for some reason, someone who has clout has told Rito they don't like Kaisa 's cleavage or find it offensive and so they made the excuse that it wasn't intended in the character design. IF IT WASN'T INTENDED...WHY WAS IT RELEASED.

This is hypocrisy and corporate backtracking at its most finest. This is more disgusting than the Evelyn character rework design release (again..not the kit) which I was pretty much against...but censorship for the sake of some skittle none of us knows about, who has a weird and amazing insecurity issue for it to go this far, is beyond that.

evelin is a succubus. succubus are "demons that lure victims with sex" more or less. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Succubus

A 16th-century sculpture representing a succubus, Cambridge. A succubus is a Lilin-demon in female form, or supernatural entity in folklore (traced back to medieval legend), that appears in dreams and takes the form of a woman in order to seduce men, usually through sexual activity. The male counterpart is the incubus. Religious traditions hold that repeated sexual activity with a succubus may result in the deterioration of health or mental state, or even death.
