Why does LoR have a sperate client?

TFT is inside the league client. They are going to share friend lists. Why is TFT in the league client and LoR separate? Shouldn't either they all be separate or none be separate?

Because TFT was made as a game mode at first, then expanded to a separate console game. Runeterra and their other games are just that, intended to be completely new games so they have separate clients or it'd probably mess up the LOL client entirely.

So does that mean TFT is gonna get it's own client sometime? That would fix a lot of the bugs with having it in the league client, like your TFT rank overriding your league one in various places it shouldn't like league champ select borders.

Give them 5 more years to realize that clients that have a game list already exist so they can copy them like the one from blizzard

Legends of Runterra doesn't share any assets that we know of with League, so there's not any reason for it to share the client. TFT share assets, such as the Lil Legends and champion models.
