Information for the Battle for Azeroth Alpha has been released.

Naturally as a Hunter main I immediately went for the talent calculator to see what changes I could find and once again Blizzard is doing a change that wasn't well received. Marksmanship hunters are forced to take Lone Wolf. For those that don't know, hunter is a class in which you a ranged (or melee after Legion) tracker who has a companion pet. Marksmanship hunters could take a talent called Lone Wolf which allowed them to have more personal damage but lose the ability to summon a pet.

Blizzard tried this change making Lone Wolf baseline during the Legion development. Despite the fact a lot of people did take Lone Wolf they still wanted the option to have a pet, it does after all help in soloing because you can heal and the pet is usually tankier than you are. The compromise was to take this ability and make it a tier 1 talent so you can opt into it. Looks like Blizzard is trying again but I hardly doubt the reaction will be much better.
