I think I finally realize my problem. I'm just too optimistic

I keep going into each game going "Maybe this ADC wont' suck, maybe this mid lane will roam, maybe this jungler will gank" thinking that maybe just maybe my team won't be a bunch of babbling baboons, maybe I need to stop and just go into a game believing my entire team is shit and be pleasantly surprised the one time they aren't instead of going in believing I won't get morons and once again they are.

Ho yeah, you been doing it wrong.

Go into every game assuming your teammates are boosted pieces of trash that must be solo hard carried to an undeserved elo for you to achieve your deserved elo.

That way you can't ever be disappointed by their shitty performance.

Only pleasantly surprised when they actually know what the hell to do.

You need to go into every game assuming everyone in every other role isn't going to your job. If you play top, assume bot will feed and your jungle will never come for a gank. If you're jungle, assume your lanes are going to shove all the way to the enemy turret and still expect a tower dive gank at level 3. If you're mid, assume you'll never stay mid to farm or cs because your top and bottom need ganks because your jungler keeps getting executed on jungle creeps.

If you're a support, accept your jungler will never come and your marksmen is brain dead. If you're a marksmen, chances are you already are brain dead.

Yeah you have to go into each game knowing everyone is gonna suck and not to rely on anyone to make a play otherwise your gonna be extremely disappointed

Like the new star wars movies, I go it not expecting much but staying optimistic. but unlike league, when I put the expectations low I actually leave the theater generally happy with what I saw

This game has totally made me a pessimist. Every game i get in I go in with the mindset that my team is going to feed, so in the off chance they are decent I'm pleasantly surprised. And then when we win at 20 mins 23 - 3, I'm reminded that winning in this game is just a little more fun than getting my shit kicked in...

That's precisely what you need to do. Go into every game assuming they will be apes until proven otherwise. You will NEVER be disappointed. If your team feeds you can just say to yourself, "Oh well, I was right. What can you do?"

Keep in mind that if you want to climb you need to play BETTER than your sorroundings. That means you need to carry them. Every game.

pretty much the way i climbed in ranked was to always assume i would need to exceed the expectations of my role, and assume off the bat that no one else on my team would exceed theirs

It doesn't help. Know from experience

You've got the mindset for playing with premades, not the mindset for queuing solo. It's a good mindset to have, much better than being cynical, so I'd suggest changing your queuing strategy rather than your way of thinking.

Get friends. I myself may not be able to find people for a premade team, but it doesn't mean you can't.

"optimistic"

"maybe my team won't be terrible"

Optimism would be thinking "this is going to be a great game" or "we're going to do great" not "maybe my teammates won't be that bad". That's just pretending your pessimism is optimism.
