I have yet to see someone first time a champion in ranked and not go 1/13 in game.

Obviously the scores vary, but you get the idea. For example, just got a first time Nocturne go 1/8, was 2 items behind the opposing jungler, and didn't gank a single time because he was too busy reading his abilities. I don't understand, nor will I ever understand, why someone is allowed to buy a champion from the store, never play them once, then slap them straight into ranked solo queue. I get that trading champions would be impossible, but I'm sure a billion dollar company can figure out a system that would fix this.
