Remember that time Riot skipped Star Guardians for Odyssey?

Instead of skipping Project which is a less successful skin line and it's also Sci Fi which gave us two sci fi skin lines that year

It's amazing that they skipped Star Guaridan over project especially when that skin line doesn't sell as well as their more female oriented skins (I'm looking at Star Guardian and KDA which are their biggest hits of literal all time)

Can we skip Project next year? It's super stale and they all look the same. Every character with a project skin has at least one other skin that's better except Pyke maybe because he had like one skin.

Can we in general stop releasing so many sci fi skins in general? We have Mecha, super galaxy, praetorian, eternum, battlecast, headhunter, odyssey, project and program (which has 24 skins between the two of them), pulsefire, steel valkyries, commando which has everyone in weird sci fi armor instead of military uniforms, steel legion

I'm not going to count dark star or cosmic because they at least feel different even though they are also sci fi ( I mean I guess they're more cosmic terror/spacey specific than sci fi)

Hextech is also barely passing since it's magitech instead of straight science. Astronauts pass because it's literally just astronauts.

if we are being fair here they added star guardians and immediately followed them up with pyjama guardians so they already over did it with them

But Odyssey was better than this year's star guardians...

Um what? They skipped Arcade, Project and Star Guardian last time.

Arcade Lulu9/12/2019, 9:06:55 PM1 votes

Odyssey was the best event ever tbh

Umm what do you have to back up this ... "analysis"?

From Riot

In no particular order, the most popular skins of all time are Elementalist Lux, Star Guardian Jinx, and PROJECT: Vayne. ... As for skin lines, it’s probably no surprise that K/DA is one of the most popular, alongside PROJECT and Star Guardian. In general, the most popular skin lines tend to go hand-in-hand with the overall popular skins.

Again where are you finding this data? This is a bold claim. From what Riot says this is not the case and KDA is the clear winner and SG and PROJECT are close. However, due the ambiguity of their statement they could all three be closer together.

I will agree that PROJECT did not meet a lot of peoples expectations this year. Riot tried something and it didn't as good as the originals, but they still did Star Guardian as well. I don't see the purpose of your post.

I know many people that like the SciFI theme, I'd argue that it's the opposite people that like PROJECT skins find no need to have any others. But that's a matter of opinion.

So while this is your opinion and you are entitled to it, Riot will not make a decision based on a minorities vote, nor on the ones who don't open their wallets. Ivern was begged for a skin for a long time, it came out and no one bought it. Why do that when you can release DS Jhin and make 10 fold?

I'm not going to count dark star or cosmic because they at least feel different even though they are also sci fi ( I mean I guess they're more cosmic terror/spacey specific than sci fi)

I'd assume it's because you like DS more than the other lines.

Hextech is also barely passing since it's magitech instead of straight science. Astronauts pass because it's literally just astronauts.

There are only 2 astronauts they were released in 2010 and 2012 I'd hope so since one has not be released in 7 years.

At the end of the day I don't see your point. SG are being released today (I think). They were not skipped for PROJECT.

If you are talking about 2017 they also were not skipped clear Riot had no ideas Since 2018 contain no skins for SG.

Odyssey was in 2018 FYI no PROJECT Skins were released.
