Stats page effecting MMR

Hi all,

Does the current Stats system recently introduced effect you MMR, and if not, why not? It's been a complaint for the community at EVERY level that the level of your teammates drastically effect your own ability to rank up (or commonly put "its the skill of your worst player that dictates the game"). I think this would be a great way to start rewarding individual performance.

stats affecting mmr would destroy the game league is a team game like it or not and incentivising stats makes winning less important, idk if you're familiar with overwatch and their skill rating system but it was causing them tons of issues at higher ranks because people that werent winning were still getting really high rank because they had good stats for their hero. granted this is kind of an oversimplification but thats the tldr.
