I would rather wait longer in queue than be matched against a team I will inevitably lose against.

I don't understand why I'm placed with a team of unranked, bronze, and silver players against a team with two plats and a gold. I'm not complaining about my team, I'm fine with playing with people equal to my elo and skill level. What I don't understand, and what irks me to no end, is why is riot's matchmaking system so fucked up. This has happened to me on many occasions and I'm sure I'm not the only one.
