Just some rambling I wanted to write down to make myself feel better.

I feel like the decline of the crit adcs is mostly due to the I.E. changes. It's essentially a 1100 gold extra for two unique passives that aren't even that impactful, especially seeing as how you need to build another item. The other 80 ad items include Ravenous Hydra (for now), Bloodthirster, and Death's Dance. I'll go through them in order. The combine cost for Hydra is 525 for an 15 ad, +50% bonus health regen, 2% lifesteal, and an AoE heal from the unique passive (given, it is melee only, but still much better unique passive and bonus stats upon upgrade). The combine cost forBloodthirster is now 950 (used to be 1150) for 25 ad, 10% lifesteal, and a bonus shield while at full health (even when its combine cost was similar to I.E. it was still a better buy). The combine cost for Death's Dance is 625 for 15 ad, effectively 5% lifesteal, a lesser omnivore passive, and tanky type passive that allows you to live longer in fights. All of the other items give bonus stats for less and have more impactful/useful passives. Meanwhile, I.E. is essentially 1700 gold for 20% crit chance and a little bit of true damage per crit, 2400 gold for 30% crit and the same amount of true damage, or 60% crit for 3900/4000 gold (Phantom Dancer is 100 gold less than other Zeal items) and the same amount of true damage. In my opinion, it is not currently a good buy at all, so the crit adcs have to either suffer through buying the same build path, or try for something else that won't work as well as their old build. If you made it through that, I'm sorry, I just needed to get that off my chest, and it made me feel better. Please don't leave a bad comment because it's just me rambling at this point and not worth arguing about.
