What I would adjust in the "New Player Pack"

I just bought the 'New Player Pack' on an my year old account because those happened to be 4 champs I was missing (Not morgana), While definitely a great deal, the champions inside are somewhat questionable. I "trained" a few newbies, and they tend to want overly-understandable champions in the very beginning. Ekko, Lee Sin and even Wukong's invisibility and Jinx (swap mechanic, rockets cost mana) are possibly too complex. As much as I appreciate the great deal, I have reason to believe giving a champion for each lane (Instead of 2 junglers, the hardest role in the game for beginners) and making them either very approachable or very easy to learn - hard to master.

My suggestions would be something like the following Top: Cho'Gath. Cho'Gath's kit is in my eyes very friendly towards new players. His silence and knockup are fairly easy to land and his ultimate is both simple and incredibly fun. The grow mechanic will show the player how characters all have

Mid: Xerath. While his Ult is quite possibly a very newbie-unfriendly mechanic (too big for the screen). The rest of his kit learns the player the power of outplaying the opponent using range. His ult might be a reason for him to not be proper for this role though. (This role could also be fulfilled by Morgana)

Bot: Caitlyn. Caitlyn has, just like Xerath, better range than her competitors. This gives the newborn ADC player proper chance to both farm (somewhat peacefully), which is a very important skill to master, and also to harass the opponent with basic attacks. She is also somewhat calm when it comes to her kit, and this can give players the time to pick up on ADC without having to research the champion first.

Support: Morgana. This is probably the right call. A Champion that would also suit this role is nami. Nami has very strong heals, which can make an upcoming Support player learn how to play in such a way that he himself does not die, yet is able to keep his ADC alive. A very helpful champ when trying to learn the basics of support.

Jungle: I am not sure about this one, Maybe something like Sejuani or Warwick. A champ with strong CC is an easy pick-up when it comes to ganking, whereas a champ with proper healing is a great way of learning how that staying healthy in the jungle does wonders.

River: Shen. Hehe

Anyhow, this is just me overthinking things. Theres probably a lot of great players right from the start, but the truth is, most players need a little while to pick the basics up and learn everything League has to offer. Selling a starter pack to them including Lee Sin might just make things more complicated for new players than they have to be.

Kind Regards, Khanzax

For mid; my first mid was Lux. It taught me everything I needed to understand and transition that info to other champs (Ahri, Syndra, Orianna to an extent, etc). Lux instead of Xerath IMO. Less skillshot reliant while teaching basics.

New players get a Caitlyn permanent as their first crafting unlock anyway, so her being in the new player pack wouldn't accomplish much. With her and Miss Fortune both being free for new players, that leaves a hyper-carry who's all about the autos, and Jinx is the simplest one of that lot.

Vel'Koz or Ziggs would probably be easier picks for an artillery mage than Xerath, especially since a new player would likely run out of mana very easily on him due to not managing his passive properly (have you seen Xerath's mana costs?).

Jungle isn't really a beginner role to begin with, but all the easy picks for it (Warwick, Yi, Xin) are cheap champions as it is. Like Caitlyn above, new players also get a Xin shard as their second champion from crafting.

ashe is the beginner adc but ashe is boring and they dont want to dissuade people from playing so they give you exciting champions instead

Lol recall with Ashe ult down middle, while spam pinging it. Mid gets a free kill and it’s pretty exciting.

Yeah it's weird, Riot is even giving out Riven along with the other champs that new players get unlocked to start, there are so many champs that seem like they would make more sense for beginners.
