I never spawned, yet my team could not remake.

I had some real internet issues yesterday, and when I started loading up a game and this started happening, I thought it would be for the best if I simply did not connect to the game so that my team would not have to deal with my internet and I would just take the loss for people who looked friendly in champ select. Now because I tried to connect in the beginning (I suppose) my team could not remake, and were forced to play a 15 min game resulting in a loss that was entirely undeserved. Why aren't remakes possible at 5 min or smth if someone hasn't left spawn
