If you're still a toxic piece of shit in pre/post game chat then you haven't actually reformed, I don't see what you're confused about. They started monitoring pre/post game chat like a year ago, maybe more, and the rest of us knew about it too.

Dang man I hate it when companies don't warn me to be a decent human being, except for the very clear rules stating it when I made the account and several times after that. So annoying.
I mean they really should just have a pop up every time you open the chat saying: Hey! Be nice!
But instead I have to actually remember some rules, or use simple human decency and not flame my teammates!!!! How do they expect me to not flame my Jungler after I died toplane????? So what we were 3 minutes into the game, and I didn't leash him.
He's just an internet person, he doesn't actually feel anything. I AM THE MAIN CHARACTER OF THE ANIME WE CALL LIFE!!!!

Also, Riot has been taking pre-game and post-game chat into the consideration for quite a long time. It has always been a myth that they don't when in fact it's been the case for a significant amount of time.

And you're just looking for any excuse to claim Riot would ban you other than the fact that you did something wrong. You got banned. It happened. You can't change that. And no amount of griping about how Riot is greedy will change the boards' minds about you. You're arguing from a very biased position, you want it to be true so badly that you're insisting that greed is the reason you got banned.
If you want to have a genuine discussion about what problems Riot may or may not have, this is not the way to go about it.
You got yourself banned. Accept it. Learn from it. And get over it.
This is nothing new, most people just don't do it, and in case you don't know what happened, someone took a screenshot of whatever garbage you were spouting in the lobby and directly contacted Riot via email, after that they probably started monitoring you.
