Why did Riot remove this function?
What happened to the /me function in the champion select? Why is this function removed... [zombie-nunu-tears] Bring back PLEASE.

Tbh most people I saw use it, used it to troll.
Dunno about it being intended as an easter egg, most clients in (older) games had some kind of /me feature, don't pin me down on this but could be in following of chat services like IRC. /me was a really big thing back when I was a teenager (15 whole years ago now..), as big as smileys are now - you did this either by typing /me and then whatever you wanted to say, or by putting whatever you're saying between stars if no /me function was available. So it's not really surprising that this function would exist in LoL seeing as the client would be almost 10 years old now, though I'll honestly admit I never knew it was in this game. Haven't used /me or similar expressions in so long. I can't remember /me being a massive thing in 2009 or not anymore, but yeah, it was when internet was beginning its rise at least.

There was a time when you could type a specific message on the launcher to force it to send you to the login, even if the server was down. You still couldn't get in of course, but it was there.
These are old school emotes.... Also often used in MMOs for RP servers. I never understood why it's me and not em.
Bummer. Had so much fun with that.
