The Problem With How You Get Sett's Calling Card

It is very hard to get S+ or first blood as a support. I have worked very hard on that role this past season because my friends suck at it. This left me weak in other roles making it very hard to get that first kill. Sett would surely be impressed if he saw that everyone was afraid of a cute little cat. In order to win I have to sacrifice myself a lot of the time even though I keep deaths from my own mistakes low. This gets me the most honors while someone else gets the highest grade possible.

You have to care really badly about KDA to get S+ and even then it is really hard. In one game recently my ADC lost us the game because of it.

Heard from support that it will be purchasable but I imagine it will be really expensive. I would at least want it to be free/cheaper for those who had Honor level 5.

Thank you for the Honor emotes. Can we get Prestige versions this year? That would be awesome!

Nobody knows exactly how it's acquired. For all we know, it's simply some random number of games. People have claimed everything from 10 first bloods (I can confirm this is inaccurate as I got it in less), to it having to be after a game in which you get first blood (I don't think it was immediately after a game I got first blood in either), to it being some S+ rank requirement (lol @ the idea i get S+ ranks)...

If you just play, you may get it? I'm not sure how.

I'm a Yuumi one trick and I got it fine by playing Xin.

Oh I didn't even realize getting an S+ was how you get the card. I just got it after a match one day but just assumed everyone got one at that same time. Can't even remember which match as I have had a few S+ scores lately. I would say just play ARAM as much as possible. If I can get an S+ in ARAM anyone can.

ETA: I see that it is also suspected that you can get the card by getting first blood 10 times. I highly doubt this is true. I know for a fact I have had 3 S+ scores over the past few weeks. I am nearly 100% certain I did not get first blood 10 times in that same timeline.

Sett's calling card is "gained by impressing Sett" so it really makes little sense that playing a passive, scaling champ would impress someone that's all about jumping in and fist-fighting.

ARAM is a very viable way to earn first bloods if you are set on only playing Supports on Summoner's Rift queues. I'd recommend you consider looking into that ^^;

Support also can earn it if they're more like Sett. Ignite Leona level 2 all-in is a pretty consistent way to get first blood from my findings.

I was just playing and boom, got it.

So I'm guessing I'm on the "How did I get here?" crew.

I got it easy and I'm a support main. Got it using ARAM. Plus since he releases this coming week I dunno if you can even still get it now (as it was part of patch 9.24 not 10.1).

I'm not sure you need a S+ to get it

Why are you trying to get the card as a support. I got the card easy from playing aram. I think its from first blood. I get it often from playing adc.

Play another role for it

For the people who got it in ARAM, I'm curious what your playstyle is like there. I never got the card after 60-ish ARAM games.

play aram (which is the only mode where you can have some fun) also i think i got mine after 8 or 9 first bloods. i 100% got it after a game where i did get first blood and did nothing impressive otherwise.

I play support and top. Hmm...I don't remember when I got Sett's Calling Card, but I feel like I got it when playing Swain support. Sometimes I do get first blood as support. If my adc is close to dying, I don't stop autoattacking or if the enemy is low, I use ignite. If they're running, go for the kill secure. I'm fine with assists so I do try to give the kill to someone else, just sometimes its better not to let off in certain situations. I get a lot of S's playing as support. If its S+, I think its just hard to get S+ in general. I think the last time I got S+ was on my Janna game when I got 100% kill participation during laning phase because I was roaming the entire map with Mobi boots, helping every lane while bot was quiet. I was in 1v3 situations and still held by myself. Janna is just unstoppable. If I got the card during that match, it would make sense. I crushed that game. Hmm...idk. I guess you can just play aggressive support. Soraka is an aggressive support but might not be first blood material. Leona is pretty good. Blitzcrank with a good pull. I'm a fan of Thresh, he's not too bad if you get a hook in and flay. Janna can be a really aggressive support and might get first blood. Lulu isn't too bad either. Just really depends on your synergy with your ADC and abusing lv.2 all-in. Make sure to close off the enemy ADC from cs'ing and then go in when you hit lv.2 before them. For Yuumi, hmm...well, you can slow them and autoattack, but idk if you can get first blood that easily.

I'm don't even think it's about getting first blood. I don't remember for sure if I got first blood in the game I received the card, but I do remember most of my team got at least an S- in a single game, with the exception of our Vi.
